E.6. Post-LIFE Conservation Plan
Aim: to draw up a conservation programme to plan the necessary action to ensure that the goals of the LIFE+ project are upheld and to guarantee the upkeep of the Cantabrian capercaillie and its habitat.
Partner: Fundación Biodiversidad.
Description: The coordinating beneficiary will draw up an action plan to determine the actions to be followed in the years after the programme has finished. Specifically, the aim of the document is to analyse the situation of the Cantabrian capercaillie and its habitat at the end of the LIFE+ Cantrabrian Capercaillie project, identifying the factors that may have a negative or positive effect on the continuity of the goals reached and to define a series of measures, guidelines and rules for the conservation of the forest bird in the future.
The plan is important because of the need to ensure that the measures and investments implemented during the project last. The document will be published online and on paper, in Spanish and English.
